FAQs

What is a longevity coach?

A longevity coach is different to a fitness trainer of a health coach because they help clients manage a much wider range of lifestyle aspects.

Of course, fitness and nutrition are key aspects I cover in any coaching programme, but I will also cover areas such as sleep, brain health, stress management, relationships, emotional wellbeing and purpose as well as technological innovations.

Don’t I need to be a millionaire to achieve longevity?

No! Whilst there are a few high-profile people who grab the headlines, longevity is for everyone. The majority of life and health extension is achieved through everyday lifestyle changes. We only have to look at the blue zones, where there are famously more people living of 100 years old than anywhere else on earth, to know that money is not the key to longevity.

Is it for all ages?

No! The earlier you can start thinking about your longevity and adopting consistent positive routines and behaviours the better.

That said, it is never too late to start and there are many cases where people in their 80’s successfully manage to reverse their ageing.

Typically, I see people around 35 yrs old starting to take things more seriously.

What tests do you carry out?

When anyone starts a programme, they undergo a thorough health and lifestyle assessment. This includes in-depth subjective questionnaires covering over 300 questions, and objective biomarkers such as Vitals (blood pressure, HRV, Oxygen Saturation etc), Balance, Posture, RHR, HRR, Functional Reach, Sit/Stand, Grip Strength, Speed, Sleep, Recovery. If the client hasn’t had a recent detail blood biomarker test, they will undergo a full blood MOT covering 57 markers from full blood count, liver health, thyroid, Inflammation, Diabetes and many more.

This will give us a good overview of your current baseline and we will set targets which we will track monthly and at the 6- and 12-month point.

Do I need to meet at a physical location?

No, the coaching programmes are designed to be fully remote giving you ultimate flexibility.

When you start the programme, you will be sent a home test kit for the monthly checks which will include a Dynamometer (grip strength), oxygen saturation monitor, blood pressure monitor and home blood test kit.

Currently the home test kit f for UK customers. For clients in other countries we will discuss at intake whether this is practical.

How often do we have a coaching session?

The programme is designed to have a one hour 1:1 video call every 2 week across the duration of the coaching programme. For a typical 12 Month programme including the assessments we will have a total of 35 hours together.

Outside of these sessions we will establish the best way to stay in touch. Most clients prefer WhatsApp. The key is that we are meeting regularly enough to ensure consistency and accountability around the plans we agree.

Can I pay as I go for coaching?

Unfortunately, I have found that this method doesn’t work for either the client or the practitioner. Longevity is the long game and needs commitment and consistency.

I manage expectations that it can be up to 3 months before the client starts to notice major differences (although depending on their start point some clients notice the impact of diet / sleep changes much sooner).

In order to get the most out of your longevity journey, our shortest programme is a 6-month commitment.

Can I cancel my programme?

Yes. Hopefully you will feel the immense benefits from the programme and want to invest in your future health and vitality, but if your circumstances change you can give us 1 month notice of your cancellation. If you have paid upfront you will get a pro rata refund. If you pay monthly, you will just need to give 1 month notice.

Can I just have a health assessment and not sign up to a programme?

We do have an option to carry out the assessments and receive a written report and recommendations. This does not include the 1:1 coaching and doesn’t cover in depth all of the theoretical and practical longevity planning a 6- or 12-month programme does.

The assessment and report costs £1,250

What is included in your programmes?

The pricing and programme section of the site lists what is included in each package.

When you take out a 6- or 12-month programme, the initial assessment is included in the cost. Also included are all of the assessments, tests, reports, home testing kits and up to 35 hours of 1:1 video calls.

Do you sell supplements?

No, I want to remain completely independent and impartial. Many coaches will have affiliate deals with nutrition companies, which means they will receive a commission based on how many supplements they sell you. I think this presents a conflict.

I have spent years doing my research to find the supplements I believe to be the best quality. If appropriate for you I will recommend these, but I will not receive any commission from the supplier.

Are you a doctor?

Whilst I am able to understand and interpret labs and diagnostics, I am not a qualified medical doctor and therefore am not able to diagnose or treat medical conditions. My services should never replace the role of a qualified medical professionals. The purpose of longevity coaching is to aid in slowing down the rate of biological aging to further improve the overall expression of health, vitality and well-being of the body through education along with the use of lifestyle, natural foods and non-medicinal nutritional supplements. I do not diagnose diseases, disorders or conditions.
